Water Soaked into Ceiling and Near Wall Due to Roof Leak

Having rain storms throughout the year on the island of Oahu our homes are constantly under stress from the weather. This home had a hole in their roof that lead to a collection of water that soon seeped into the ceiling causing a drip and soon began to soak further down the walls of this Makiki home. When looking at the picture you can see how the section of the ceiling that was cut out is curved. This is because of the weight of the water that has soaked into the ceiling. Depicted on the moisture meter you can observe just how much this wall was affected by water. The level of moisture is shown by the blue and violet colors on the screen of the moisture meter. Our team tore out all affected areas and our construction team rebuilt and replaced the walls. Leaving this room looking brand new.

The pouring rains and powerful wind drove through the open door of this Kahala home causing rain to blow through the screen.  It also caused severe water damage to the carpet.  Storm damage can happen at anytime and often times its when we least expect it.

The broken water line flooded the upper-level bedroom in this Laie home. Pictured is the pooling water on the steps. Our SERVPRO ASD applied structural drying technicians quickly suctioned up this water to preserve the steps, risers, and supporting stringers. We salvaged the assembly along with the connecting walls, saving our client money and inconvenience. He was very grateful.

Water damage to this small office in Kaneohe was mitigated with rapid water extraction. Our SERVPRO techs immediately place the furniture on small white blocks to prevent absorption into the wood and ruining the finish. Air movers and a dehumidifier are removing the remaining moisture from the carpet and hard surfaces.

The storm waters flooded this area of a home in Laie requiring a partial demolition.
